And They’re Off!

AVPA Film is off to a great start! The Department held a whirlwind of auditions last week and classes begin officially next week on September 14th. This Thursday, September 10th, the resuming Film Company will be celebrating with new students at Chipotle in the Culver Crossroads. Hopefully the students will be able to bond and relax a bit more than they were able to during their first audition! We are so excited to be partnering with WLAC this semester and also to begin benefitting from the LAHiTech Grant which is providing us with an additional film production class this semester. Within the class, students will work with a cinematographer named Steve Crawford, who has at least 45 professional credits for camera and lighting department work including films such as “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and television shows such as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” amongst others. Thank you to all of the families who attended Orientation! We are so excited that you are taking the plunge into the AVPA community!
