Art students from the Academy of Visual And Performing Arts will be showing and selling student artwork at the CalArts Print Fair this Saturday, March 17th from 2:30 – 7:30 p.m. AVPA Art alumnus of the Culver City High School’s class of 2016, Alex Cerutti, invited AVPA artists to participate in the event. Cerutti, now a Graphic Design Major at CalArts is organizing this year’s annual Print Fair and asked AVPA Art to share their work and become known within the larger professional art community. CalArts is one of the top art schools in the country.
AVPA art students are very excited to participate! Senior Isabella Bustanoby states, “It’s not often that high school artists are invited to events like these. Chances to show and sell work at our age is quite rare, so I’m really excited to go to CalArts to meet other artists, talk to the community, and get my work into the public,”. Senior Isabella Haro-Uchimura also explains, “As a young artist, working with the medium of printmaking is an unconventional choice. It really is a great way of both creating art and mass producing it”. Attendees will include art students from the renowned CalArts campus, professors and faculty, professional artists, and interested community members. Please come and join the fun. The event is FREE and open to the public. The CalArts Print Fair will be located in the Main Gallery at CalArts: 24700 Mcbean Pkwy, Valencia, CA 91355
