The Academy offers students an opportunity
to engage in an in-depth study of film and video. Located
on the Westside of Los Angeles, just a few blocks away from
Sony, Tri-Star, and Columbia Pictures, the campus has access
to tremendous resources. Degrees are offered to students who
complete the requirements in their major. A student may also
receive a minor in film. The curriculum combines classroom
study with the intense practical experience associated with
the Academys rigorous production schedule.

The Academy's Film department has teamed
up with the Los Angeles Filmmakers Co-Op, a non-profit
organization dedicated to providing support to student
and independent filmmakers in Los Angeles. The center
of their organization is a 1985 converted school bus which
now acts as a fully functioning production studio. |
