Floyd Russ (Writer/Director)

Well, here I am, 8 P.M. on Monday May 13th, still at school, still working on the film. I feel like I have grown so attached to this project, it’s ridiculous. After all the stress, nervousness, fear and anger, I am so incredibly proud of everyone who lifted a single finger to help create this. Thinking that this might be my last film in the academy fills me with sadness, and I hope that one day, I will get to do this on 35mm, with a big budget and a feature script, the thought alone makes my hairs stand up. I have to thank a lot of people, most of which I have loved all my life or grown to love as a friend. Sorry if this is long or corny, but it is very important to me, oops I just remembered I think I’m supposed to write this in 3rd person, oh well screw it. Thank you to my mom and my dad, they keep me alive, so I owe them EVERYTHING. Thank you to all my friends, DJJOCK, you guys inspired most of this film. Thank you to Mr. Knight, I love you, you’ve helped me grow as a person and filmmaker and I will never forget you. Last but not least, my girlfriend, Naddia, I love you, but in a different way, and you too inspire me. I am incredibly happy right now, knowing that we successfully finished this film, now I hope you all enjoy it and that this great program and everyone who worked on it get the recognition they deserve. On the other hand, I am going to UCLA next year, instead of NYU, which I sadly can not afford, but, off course, I will still work towards a career in the film industry and strive for everything I have dreamed of since I was a little boy in Germany; money, cars, fame, and MOVIES! Thank you for coming and I hope you enjoy the show.[top]
