Thank you so much for being interested in SHE KILLS MONSTERS, our fall play! As you
prepare and consider what you’d like to audition for, I hope you’ll remember a character in a
story (or perhaps, even history - ancestral, familial, or public) that you love and admire. Is there that movie, play, or musical you’ll rewatch again and again because you feel like you’re swept up into that story? Bring that imagination and energy with you... and let’s play!

AUDITION RUBRIC:

Category = VOICE

• The actor projects their voice loudly and clearly

• The actor’s speech is clear and easy to understand

• The actor speaks with clear diction

Category = PHYSICALITY

• The actor creates character physicality or mannerisms that support the role

• The actor makes purposeful, motivated blocking choices (including using stillness)
  throughout the monologue
  

Category = IMAGINATION

• The actor is familiar with their material, bring their own interpretation of the character

• The actor makes different choices, conveying the emotional beats and shifts throughout
  the scene
