The AVPA Foundation hosts a fun and creative fundraiser - Paint & Sip! AVPA School of Visual Art Creative Director Anna Alvarez will lead a group of 30 people (21 and over only please!) to create a masterpiece on canvas. The event takes place at the new Glorya Kaufman Community Center, 2nd floor, at the Wende Museum.

$60 per person and includes wine and snacks, canvas and paint supplies.

AVPA Jazz Festival

AVPA School of Music presents a concert of Jazz featuring our five Jazz Combos and Jazz Ensemble.

Culver City Middle School musicians will participate in a workshop during the afternoon, teaching fundamentals of jazz style and improvisation. The concert will start at 7pm.

Donations for the evening will be collected and given to the CCUSD Wildfire Disaster Support Fund.

Doors open and Bake Sale begins at 6:30pm. All proceeds from the bake sale will be going to our 3 CCUSD teachers who have lost their homes to the fires.

Group Dance Call back held in RM 107 
Friday Jan. 10th, 2025 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Sign up sheet for auditions will be posted on the door of RM 108 when we return from winter break on January 6th, 2025.

Please note: 

  1. Arrive early to your audition time. You will need to fill out some audition forms. Also let us know which monologue you are performing and which song and where in the accompaniment you are starting. For example: I am performing Sandy’s monologue and  I’m singing “Hopelessly Devoted to You” please start at 0.47 in the accompaniment. Or I am performing Danny’s monologue and  I’m singing “Sandy” please start at the beginning of the accompaniment. 

  2. Make sure you have a complete and accurate list of all your conflicts in the spring. Make sure this rehearsal process is something you can commit to. 

  3. For the dance audition: wear clothes you can move in. You will be dancing barefoot. Hair must be secured away from your face.

  4. Make sure you practice and prepare. Do not procrastinate and try to have it all memorized the night before.

  5. Please read the audition instructions carefully.
